Meet Our Director- Leona Nwokeji

Leona is a registered chartered physiotherapist with over 20 years experience and the founder of Tenti Physio Helps which is a concierge service(home physio service). She has treated clients from different countries and backgrounds from all walks of life in various health sectors in the UK. These sectors include corporate, occupational health, public and private sectors respectively and has garnered a wide experience in treating  a range  of various acute and chronic disorders which involve Post-operative complications, occupational disorders, tendon problems, sports injuries and spinal dysfunctions. She has developed her skills through postgraduate courses in Acupuncture, Soft tissue techniques, Orthopaedic Medicine, and also manual therapy. She uses Acupuncture as an adjunct in her clinical practice. Her outlook is to promote pain control  which, she feels, is crucial in obtaining a successful functional outcome.

Leona has a special interest in functional kinetic rehabilitation which is geared at restoring range, flexibility, strength and function. Along with this approach, she appreciates  unraveling complex biomechanic dysfunctions associated with peripheral and spinal presentations. She has previously assisted in London Marathon by providing 1st aid  treatment. She believes in promoting long term results for longstanding symptoms through education, self-management and appropriate applied treatment techniques. Hence, her aim is to get her clients back up again to physical health and return to their functional activities one step at a time.

Outside of work, she enjoys an all over body workout regime that is moderate in intensity, toning main muscle groups and appreciates the balance of a moderate to low impact fitness regime, to incorporate postural and core set muscles.  She enjoys fashion styling, travelling, as well as impromptu restaurant sampling with fellow ‘food-friendly” friends and takes pleasure in strumming up recipes creating them for others to enjoy, converse and meet at her table, fondly called ‘The Potter’s Table conversations”. A few years ago, she overcame her apprehension of swimming by taking the plunge and learnt how to swim as an adult!
